Can you tie a bow-tie? Really? What about without a mirror?
Join us at The Jackal & Budd Shirtmakers’ Party Season Masterclass to learn this and other all-important skills, including how to mix a Negroni (with Cocchi Vermouth). Our Deputy Editor and in-house sartorialist Aleks Cvetkovic will be on hand with some little-known eveningwear do’s and don’ts, too.
Budd has occupied the same shop on the Piccadilly Arcade since 1910 and is one of London’s oldest shirtmakers and gentleman’s outfitters, steeped in almost 100 years of history. It offers luxurious bespoke, made-to-measure and ready-to-wear shirts, and curates accessories to complement a finely made shirt, from silk printed dressing gowns to silk moire bow ties.
Budd is also the only remaining British shirtmaker to cut its bespoke shirts on the premises, with a cutting room above the main shop, staffed by a trio of talented craftsmen with over 100 years of shirtmaking expertise between them. They offer a discreet, personal service. What Budd doesn’t know about shirts – or festive dressing – isn’t worth knowing.
So, join us for an evening of style advice, canapés, cocktails and sartorial insights at Maison Assouline. 6:30-8:30pm, 6 December.
